Location: Mostly remote from home, however, frequent travel to Tampa, Jacksonville, and different areas of Orlando required. Working from our office will be required few times per month, not more than 1-2 days a week.
Compensation: $3,000 per month plus bonus on ticket sales. Small equity stake in the company negotiable upon completion of a determined work period.

Position Overview:
The Young Sharks is a vibrant and fast-growing networking group for young professionals, is on the hunt for a full-time Event Planner. We are not looking for the most experienced, but for the hungriest. We value drive, hands-on work, and the courage to take charge. We want a team player who's willing to set up the stage one minute and call the shots the next. We appreciate adaptability and the ability to learn fast, as you will be driving to different cities every week to coordinate our exciting events.
You need to have an appetite for talking and working with people because that's in everything we do. We're constantly networking, meeting people, building relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute all logistical aspects of events from initial concept to post-event evaluation.
- Manage supplier relationships and coordinate with venues, caterers, contractors, and equipment rentals.
- Travel to different cities once or twice a week to set up and manage events. All travel expenses will be reimbursed.
- Engage in active on-site event management, ensuring smooth operation and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Making sure events are being ran on a budget and looking at the performance
- Collaborate with marketing to promote events.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Some prior experience in event planning or management is a plus, but not mandatory.
- Proactive and not afraid to get hands dirty - we value a "roll up your sleeves" attitude.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing work conditions and schedules.
- Ability to take charge and make strategic decisions under pressure.
- Open to coaching and professional development opportunities.
