Position Summary: Interlochen Center for the Arts seeks a full-stack web developer responsible for maintaining, enhancing, designing, and coding Interlochen Center for the Arts digital marketing properties. This fully remote position is a member of the Office of Enrollment Management and Marketing, working closely with internal marketing professionals to optimize recruitment and retention experiences for Arts Academy, Arts Camp, College of Creative Arts, Interlochen Online, and Interlochen Presents.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Complies with Interlochen policies/procedures and acts as a good steward of Interlochen finances
  • Conducts user-acceptance testing
  • Consults and implements A/B tests and user-experience surveys
  • Prioritizes duties in a manner consistent with organizational objectives and growth
  • Respects the culture, diversity and rights of all students, their families and the community
  • Implements technical SEO improvements
  • Consults and implements conversion rate optimization test plans
  • Consults, designs, codes, and implements front-end / visual updates
  • Seeks the best use of materials, equipment and staff to maximize efficiency and effectiveness
  • Optimizes website health
  • Maintains website to industry standards
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Manages workflows and deployments
  • Performs routine backups to local servers
  • Consults, designs, codes, and implements back-end / user-interface updates

Experience and Skills:
  • Ability to offer professional consulting, insight, pushback, and alternative recommendations, if required
  • Highly skilled in user-experience (UX) standards
  • Highly skilled in various applications, programming languages, and digital services, including: APIs, CSS, CSS3, cross-browser compatibility, ES6, Git, HTML, HTML5, JavaScript, JQuery, PHP, REST, SASS/SCSS, security principals, SOAP, and web user interface design (UI)
  • Familiar with quality assurance and code validation tools
  • Familiar with Agile development standards
  • Bachelor's degree required with a minimum of in house, agency, or freelance full stack development experience
  • Proficient in Web Content Accessibility Guidelines
  • Highly skilled with content management systems, specifically Drupal 8+
  • Highly skilled in responsive design
  • Highly skilled in front end build systems
  • Proficient in A/B testing and UX tools
  • Ability to follow and execute specific verbal and written instructions
