Full Stack Developer - Nodejs (Remote)

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Developer with a minimum of 5 years' experience in JavaScript/Node.js (Backend), AWS services, Bitbucket, and GitLab. In addition to these core skills, ideal candidates will have proficiency in Python or Java, SQL, JSON, and a deep understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) process. A strong preference is given to candidates within either the Eastern or Central Standard Time Zones. Responsibilities:

• Version Control and CI/CD: Manage code repositories efficiently using Bitbucket and GitLab. Build and set up new CI/CD pipelines and manage existing pipelines using Jenkins/UCD/GitLab.
• Database Management: Utilize SQL and JSON for effective database management and data manipulation.
• AWS Services: Leverage AWS services, including Lambda, SQS/SNS, PostgreSQL, ECS Fargate (understanding of Containers), EC2, Step Functions, EventBridge, and Airflow to build and deploy cloud-based applications.
• Troubleshooting and Support: Diagnose and resolve technical issues, ensuring the stability and reliability of the applications.
• SDLC and Agile Environment: Take ownership of the software development lifecycle, adhering to best practices and following Agile methodologies for efficient project delivery.
• DevOps and Infrastructure: Work closely with the DevOps team to ensure smooth deployment and monitoring of applications. Experience with Terraform is a plus.
• Backend Development: Collaborate with a cross-functional team to design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient server-side applications using JavaScript/Node.js.
• Full Stack Development: Collaborate on front-end development to ensure seamless integration and optimize the user experience.

Requirements:

• Solid understanding of SQL and JSON for database management and manipulation.
• Extensive experience with AWS services, including Lambda, SQS/SNS, PostgreSQL, ECS Fargate, EC2, Step Functions, EventBridge, and Airflow.
• Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced Agile environment, delivering high-quality solutions within set deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proficiency in Python or Java is a nice-to-have skill.
• Strong familiarity with Bitbucket and GitLab for version control and CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins/UCD/GitLab.
• Knowledge of Terraform is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a Full Stack Developer, with a strong focus on JavaScript/Node.js (Backend) development
