The Organization:

TSQ Advisors provides bespoke financial and strategic advisory services to high-growth venture-backed startups. Serving as an outsourced finance department, we work closely with Founders and executive leadership to deliver world-class financial operations including financial planning and analysis, full-service accounting, business intelligence, business model development, fundraising strategy and execution, board and investor relations, strategic thought-partnership and decision-making support.

Our clients range from Pre-Seed to Series C, are developing disruptive products across industries including healthtech, greentech, robotics and more and are backed by world-class investors such as A16Z, Khosla Ventures, Tiger Global, Eclipse, Crosslink Capital, Breakthrough Energy Ventures, ENIAC, Pathbreaker, and Y Combinator among many others. Our clients have raised over $100M in early-stage venture capital in the past six months alone.

Responsibilities:

As FP&A Consultant, you will support the Fractional CFO in all aspects of client service, including:

• Support the production of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting packages for internal management and Board reporting purposes
• Build and maintain advanced financial models for short and long term forecasting
• Perform ad hoc financial analyses including unit economics, valuation, dilution, cost of capital, CAC/LTV, market sizing, sales force effectiveness, etc.
• Recommend, implement and report on KPIs to measure financial and operating performance
• Support capital raising process through creation of pitch deck and financial due diligence materials

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting, MBA preferred
• Previous experience with technology startups and business models preferred
• 8+ years of experience in strategic finance, corporate finance or investment banking
• Strong proficiency using Excel and Google Sheets to build financial models
• Direct experience in FP&A, strategic planning or other areas of operational finance preferred
• Strong interest in disruptive business models, entrepreneurship and the startup ecosystem

• Paid as an independent contractor (no benefits; tax payments are your own responsibility)
• Fully remote work with flexible working hours (requires some availability during regular Pacific Time business hours)
• Hourly rate TBD depending on experience
