Financial Planning and Analysis Associate Director

Fitch Solutions is currently seeking a FP&A Associate Director based out of our New York office.
The Finance team has a need for a Finance professional to join the Financial Planning & Analysis team. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer of Fitch Solutions, you will work closely with the President of Fitch Solutions, the Fitch Solutions Management Team, the Commercial, Product, and Content Functions within Fitch Solutions, and Group Finance/Accounting. The primary job responsibilities include Financial Planning and Analysis, Business Partnering, and serving as a strategic partner to all functions in the business.

The successful candidate will have experience in Financial Analysis, Business Analytics, Accounting, Strategy, and strategic business partnering with senior leadership of a medium to large-sized firm, and strategic business partnering with senior leadership of a medium to large sized firm.

We’ll Count on You To:
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving financial insights, providing strategic guidance, and partnering with the Management Team and all functions across the business to support informed decision-making and optimize financial performance.
  • Serve as a trusted Business and Finance partner to the Fitch Solutions Management Team, Group Finance/Accounting, and all Fitch Solutions businesses
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (i.e., Commercial, Product, Content, Support) to understand strategic goals, challenges, and opportunities, while providing financial guidance to support decision making
  • Conduct financial analysis, scenario reporting, ad-hoc reporting, and board decks to support Management Team
  • Prepare, analyze, and recommend valuable insights from financial reports, leading to actionable insights for all audiences
  • Liaison directly with Group Finance/Accounting to develop and maintain the operating budget, financial accounting matters, and actuals
  • Partner with Management Team and other critical organizational roles to develop forecasts, review actuals, and provide strategic insights to improve financial and operational performance
  • Drive process improvements using technology and other value-added techniques to enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, and accuracy of financial reporting processes

What You Need to Have:
  • Excellent team player who possesses immense interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or other closely related field
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights to all levels of the organization
  • Advanced proficiency in financial software applications, e.g., Excel, ERP systems (i.e., SAP, Oracle, others), and experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau, PowerBI
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to strategically think while paying close attention to detail
  • Proficient in financial analysis techniques, including scenario modeling and KPI tracking
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate qualitative and quantitative information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting
  • 4-8 years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis or a similar role

  • Professional experience within the Financial or Information Services industries
  • MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA, CMA)
  • Track record of building successful cross-functional relationships and collaborating with diverse teams
  • Strong knowledge of Finance and Accounting professional concepts and requirements

FOR NEW YORK AND CALIFORNIA ROLES ONLY: Expected base pay salary range for this role is $130,000 - $155,000 per year. Actual salaries will be determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors. Base pay is one part of Fitch’s total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, long-term incentives, and other benefits sponsored by Fitch.
