Job Description
Company Description

About TuneCore:

Before TuneCore, artists needed a label to sell their music online. In 2006, we changed the game by partnering with digital stores and streaming platforms to enable any musician to sell their songs worldwide while keeping 100% of their sales revenue. Today, TuneCore is the leading music distribution service for independent artists worldwide. Headquarterd in Brooklyn, NY, TuneCore is owned by Paris based, global digital music company Believe. A member of the 'Next 40' index, Believe is the first IPO of a 'unicorn' on Euronext Paris. The company raised €300 million when it went public on June 10, 2021 and is now actively investing in the continued growth of the business.

We have made it our mission to best serve artists and labels at each stage of their development in the digital world. We are a company who cares deeply about our people and our creator community, advocating for diversity, equity, and inclusion across all of our platforms and throughout our business. Innovation keeps us working hard for our artists and collaboration drives the way we work, as well as the way we approach our company’s social responsibility.

Join TuneCore as we embark on the next phase of innovation in the music industry. Lead the team that will bridge creators’ unmet and evolving needs by building the tools and services that they can’t live without and make their lives better.

In the current context of high growth and finance transformation, TuneCore is looking for a dynamic FP&A Analyst to join our finance team. The successful candidate will excel at providing thoughtful financial analysis and at creating, maintaining and improving models and financial projections (annual plans and in-year periodic forecasts). This person will be responsible for managing all facets of compensation related budgets (salaries, benefits, bonus, consultants, capitalized labor), working closely with the HR department to track and forecast staff movements (new hires, open positions, turnover, promotions, internal transfers, backfills …). S/he will also participate in all aspects of financial forecasting and modeling, including revenues, COGS and Opex and will help prepare key monthly financial reports. This is an amazing opportunity for a finance professional with previous FP&A experience and a strong analytical background to join a high-growth, mission-driven organization. S/he will work across the organization to help champion budget ownership with departmental and business unit heads.

The successful candidate will grow the role by collaborating on projects leveraging data in partnership with the Data team and preparing presentations and visualizations identifying trends and relationships between variables. S/he will have a direct impact on the success of TuneCore’s financial department and the FP&A function as a key provider of strategic insights and a contributor to finance transformation efforts.

  • Finance transformation – Help streamline, simplify, and optimize budgeting tools and processes to achieve efficiency and the ability to scale in a high-growth context (staff turnover). Participate in broader finance transformation projects such as ERP migration and reporting tool implementation.
  • Incorporate benefits’ enhancement (401k, medical..) into the financial forecast
  • Partner with the Believe central finance team, especially on staff related issues (staff recharges)
  • Create presentations and visualizations to provide senior leadership and executive teams with actionable insights
