Senior Director, Fp&A - Commerce

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Director of FP&A to join the Barstool Sports Finance team. The successful candidate will assist in overseeing the financial planning and analysis activities related to the Commerce & Licensing business units. Reporting to the VP of Finance, this role will partner with the Commerce, Business Development, and Accounting teams to support key business functions including budgeting & forecasting, financial reporting, variance analysis, pricing & other ad hoc projects. An ideal candidate is highly analytical, a quick problem solver, can manage priorities & communicate effectively to ensure activities are completed on time & accurately. We are seeking someone to develop a deep understanding of the business and identify opportunities & strategies that will drive us towards achieving our goals. This position will be hybrid onsite 3 days per week from our New York City office.

What You'll Do:

• Partner with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting for our commerce and licensing business units, including monthly and quarterly financial statements, variance analysis, and other reports as needed.
• Oversee all financial planning & analysis functions related to our Commerce & Licensing business lines & support the leadership team
• Assist with the consolidation of financials to be communicated with our parent company, Penn Entertainment
• Work with inventory planning to spearhead open to buy process with a focus on inventory optimization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional team members regularly & provide input on business initiatives.
• Review & enhance weekly, monthly & quarterly business reports.
• Present financial budgets, budget vs actuals, and other analysis with actionable insights to leadership across the organization.
• Create financial models & run scenario analyses to make business recommendations to senior management.
• Develop budgets and forecasts for key commerce & licensing metrics (revenue, costs, and expenses) in partnership with the cross functional team.
• Complete ad hoc projects to influence strategic decision making centered on scaling the commerce business with the cross functional team.

What You Have:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher (preferably in Accounting or Finance)
• Excited to work in a fast-paced environment with an emphasis on meeting deadlines and addressing urgent situations
• You have strong communication skills and a proven ability to build rapport and trust with stakeholders of all levels
• Understanding of Financial processes and controls
• Team player with a collaborative spirit, cooperative attitude, and ability to work across multiple departments
• Strong attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Suite; Experience with NetSuite preferred
• Experience leading a team with one or more direct reports
• 8+ years of work experience preferred
• Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and show initiative

Salary Range: $175,000-$200,000
