Job Description
Opportunity

The Finance Manager is responsible for managing the general accounting function with direct report to the Chief Financial Officer, overseeing the completion of the ledger accounts and financial transactions, evaluating and making appropriate improvements to internal accounting processes, analyzing trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments and resources utilization. The Finance Manager should have a proficient knowledge of and experience with nonprofit accounting practices and financial management; strong understanding of GAAP and audit requirements; excellent quantitative, analytical, problem-solving and communications skills; the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, challenging, multi-cultural, team-oriented environment and juggling multiple priorities while establishing and maintaining robust accounting processes. Judgment, integrity, and trustworthiness are essential given the need to handle confidential and sensitive information.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate contracts management process
  • Assist in annual audit and tax preparations
  • Coordinate month-end and year-end close processes, including schedules preparation and accounts analysis to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, working with the IRAP Finance team and an external accounting firm
  • Review/compare monthly actuals to budget and report significant variances to CFO
  • Manage the accuracy, productivity and personnel (located both in the US and abroad) associated with the day to day activities of accounts payable, accounts receivable, monetary disbursements, invoicing/billing, payroll, fixed asset records, general ledger
  • Undertake other duties and projects as assigned
  • Sustain/improve an appropriate system of policies, internal controls, accounting standards, and procedures
  • Assist CFO in a budgeting process and implementation of the new accounting and financial systems and processes
  • Supervise and train staff involved in accounting/financial duties

Qualifications

  • Experience with international organizations/offices
  • 7-10 years non-profit accounting and financial management experience
  • Superb attention to detail
  • Supervisory experience
  • Demonstrates passion for IRAP’s mission
  • Focus on professional excellence, intellectual curiosity, and customer service
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, Master’s degree is preferred
  • Must be self-sufficient and self-motivated
  • Experience with Google Suite and advanced level of Excel is highly desired

  • Able to work well with a diverse group of people in a team environment
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online and Concur is highly desired
Compensation

The annual full-time equivalent salary range for this position is $80,474 - $105,235, commensurate with experience and office location. May be subject to a collective bargaining agreement.
