Who We Are Looking For:
Phoenix Tailings is seeking a Junior Chemical Engineer who is looking for a career where they can make a significant impact on the world. Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including chemists, environmental experts, and process technicians, to integrate chemical processes seamlessly into overall project objectives.
- Assist in the design and development of innovative chemical processes, focusing on sustainability and environmental responsibility.
- Support senior engineers in material selection, equipment specifications, and process design to ensure successful implementation of chemical processes.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and advancements in sustainable chemical processes and actively contribute to the company's knowledge base.
- Participate in laboratory experiments and tests to evaluate process performance, troubleshoot issues, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Utilize process simulation software and tools to model and optimize chemical processes, ensuring efficiency and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to analyze project requirements, develop process concepts, and propose effective solutions that align with project goals and environmental standards.
Qualifications:
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and propose improvements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- 1-2 years of experience in chemical engineering, with a focus on process design, optimization, and testing.
- Solid understanding of chemical engineering principles, thermodynamics, and reaction kinetics.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in process simulation and modeling software, such as Aspen Plus or ChemCAD, is preferred.
