The Bell 360 Invictus Program is searching for an experienced Project Engineer to support the development of technical efforts for multiple engineering disciplines. This position will oversee the successful execution of project deliverables by understanding contract requirements, building and maintaining the project Integrated Master Schedule, managing cost and schedule performance and supporting a multi-disciplined team through the complete development lifecycle for product introduction into the fleet.
This position is located at Bell’s headquarters facility in Ft. Worth, TX.
Position Responsibilities:
- Oversee the on-time delivery of high-quality contract deliverables for all contract requirements.
- Identify and manage project Risks, Issues and Opportunities.
- Requirements Management: Supporting definition and tracing of design requirements, test data, and performance values associated with engineering and manufacturing development of the aircraft and its subsystems.
- Constant internal and external customer interface to provide transparent project status and design decisions.
- Build and maintain Integrated Master Schedules with proper predecessor/ successor logic as well as resource definition (manpower, travel & material)
- Project Contracting: Evaluate Government contract Statements of Work (SOW) to develop project execution strategies that ensure proper contract deliverables are planned for and executed efficiently.
- Support various Integrated Product Teams in managing cost, schedule and program milestone achievement.
- Responsible for contract execution and final product delivery.
- Develop supplier SOWs and applicable Supplier Data Requirement Lists (SDRL).
- Strategic Planning: Support the development of future capability product roadmaps and incremental project features to align with customer needs.
- Lead incremental technical, schedule and cost reviews with internal and external customers.
Position Requirements:
- Knowledge and application of Earned Value Management (EVM) principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and ability to learn new software is required.
- Background utilizing Government contracting requirements, to include basic understanding of how to read, assess, and evaluate those requirements.
- Previous project execution responsibilities including cost and schedule management.

- Candidate should be highly organized and efficient.
- Proven experience in developing Integrated Master Schedules.
- Familiarity with requirements management, interface management, and risk management.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multiple support functions (engineering – all disciplines, manufacturing, procurement, finance, IT, technical logistics, quality, contracts), customers, suppliers and partners from different locations.
- Capability to plan and execute internal and external design reviews as well as other technical meetings.
- Background in Statements of Work and how to drive requirements to a supplier.
- Capable of using product life cycle management (PLM) database to load, export, link, and manage project deliverables.
- At least 3 years of experience in Project Management
- Engineering background with sufficient technical acumen to work with subject matter experts to establish design requirements and product development plans.
- Candidate must demonstrate solid communication skills to be able to collaborate and/or exchange complex information with industry and internal professionals across all organizational levels as well as brief project information to external customers and internal Bell leadership.
Preferred skills:
- Experience with supplier management is preferred.
- Earned Value Management. Use of EVM tools to plan, control, and document performance data for cost and schedule.
- Evaluate cost and schedule performance through Earned Value Management and Agile methodologies
- Experience performing engineering efforts in a specific aviation design discipline.
- Experience with assessment and implementation of risk analysis/mitigation on programs/projects.
- 2+ years of direct experience on a government contract.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree required. Engineering, Mathematics, Physics - or similar technical discipline.
- Project Management Professional Certificate is desired.
