Job Description

IHEARTCOMIX is looking to contract a Marketing Manager with live music and/or festival experience. The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of the music industry in LA and surrounding markets with insight into key community stakeholders in music, food, film and culture. This key member of our team will be responsible for the ongoing development and execution of marketing campaigns to promote the festival.


This is a part-time position 20-25 hrs/week based in Los Angeles.

Contracted period runs from now until mid November.


Responsibilities:

  • Build digital toolkits for internal stakeholders to maximize awareness on socials, in emails, on websites and at the venues
  • Manage the creation of assets needed for marketing campaigns across digital, print, web, and social media.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to provide post-festival marketing analytics recaps.
  • Compile settlement documents for all festival media buys executed by the marketing team
  • Coordinate multiple internal and external teams of experts to successfully execute marketing campaigns inclusive of, but not limited to, digital advertising, social media, sponsors & PR.
  • Coordinate grassroots marketing efforts that includes local market giveaways and street team with local promo partners and retail
  • Onsite Festival coverage as necessary
  • Identify and activate new strategic marketing partners to raise awareness in the community.
  • Develop impactful promotions for upcoming music, food and film festival using multiple regional media partners and mobilizing internal stakeholders (sponsors, participants)
  • Track performance of marketing initiatives
  • Compile and share extensive audience and artist demographic information to shape the ongoing development of marketing plans


Required Qualifications:

  • 3-6 years of marketing related work experience, festival experience a bonus
  • Experience in content development and publishing
  • Experience with media buying, digital media plans and omni-channel digital marketing
  • Experience working with email, mobile and digital marketing programs


Preferred Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of Google Apps, Email Marketing (Klayvio preferred), and Analytics
  • Creative and proactive thinker that is solutions oriented
  • Knowledge of data analysis and budgeting
  • Ability to switch from the creative side of marketing to analytical side with the ability to prove ideas are analytically sound
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of Social Media platforms, their respective participants (Facebook, Twitter, Yelp, Google +Local, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest etc.) and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios
  • Knowledge of social media and online marketing best practices and strategies
  • Detail-oriented person who can juggle multiple tasks
  • Knowledge of music industry in LA and surrounding markets
  • Excellent written, verbal and listening communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to work in a fast-paced environment
