Position Summary

The Facilities Supervisor is responsible for creating and maintaining a suitable working environment, ensuring facilities are always clean and aesthetically pleasing for patients and staff members. By utilizing regulatory guidelines and best practices, this position oversees building and equipment maintenance, groundskeeping, janitorial needs, planning of capital projects as they relate to construction and equipment as well as safety and security measures.

Facilities Supervisor Responsibilities:

• Ensure physical plant upkeep by conducting and documenting regular facilities inspections, including grounds and parking lots, equipment and security operations
• Coordinate installation and/or repair of equipment; removal, storage and/or disposal of surplus or broken equipment.
• Respond during non-clinic hours to emergency situations.
• Supports emergency preparedness efforts to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and incorporate newly identified risks
• Monitor status of and facilitate coordination as needed for all construction projects.
• Provide regular and thorough updates to leadership team regarding status of projects, programs, vendors, etc.
• Ensure adequate security presence and/or measures in protection of patients, staff and facilities.
• Plan and implement scheduled maintenance program for equipment including but not limited to HVAC systems.
• Prepare RFPs for fixed asset purchases, contracted maintenance, and construction projects. Review RFP responses and make recommendations.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Develop and maintain vendor relationships, exercise oversight over vendor contracts, project status and regularly provided services.
• Provide meeting support through set-up and break-down of chairs, tables and equipment as requested.
• Participate in leadership activities, support employee engagement and promote a solution based approach.
• Ensure daily operation effectiveness by monitoring cleanliness of all facilities to include janitorial maintenance and trash removal and performing tasks such as repairing fixtures, conducting minor mechanical/electrical/plumbing repairs, and coordinating vendors for repairs and maintenance as appropriate.
• Ensure development and implementation of Safety/Risk/Emergency Management plan to include audits, safety checks and drills, equipment maintenance, and other exercises as appropriate.

• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
• 5 years’ experience in facilities management.
• Well-versed in technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices.
• Excellent project management skills, certification highly preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
