Department: Sales Operations
Reports To: Sr. Regional Operations Manager
Travel Required: Daily, local travel in company vehicle. 15% overnight travel.

Position Overview
As the Field Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a team of Field Service Technicians and supporting the overall sales function. Overseeing fleet maintenance, coordinating, ordering, receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing and shipping of café’ parts, supplies, tools and café’ equipment are some of the tasks you can expect. You may oversee one or two warehouses depending on location. The Field Service Supervisor is a critical position for ensuring excellent customer care and prompt service for our coffee service division.
Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities
  • Analyzes key performance metrics. Make data-based decisions that result in increased productivity of field service technicians
  • Traces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommends to management remedial actions to resolve discrepancies
  • Manages and orders materials and supplies, such as tools, equipment, or replacement parts
  • Coordinates activities of field service technicians to complete repairs and preventative maintenance in a timely manner
  • Utilizes sound judgment and works in concert with the location Area Sales Manager (ASM) to establish café’ equipment par level
  • Provide ongoing training to field service technicians as needed
  • Plans layout of café equipment cage areas, considering types, size, and related factors of items stored
  • Schedules field service technicians to minimize time from notification to customer set-up. Utilizes visual aids to communicate to the sales force the calendar of customer set-ups
  • May be requested to perform different or additional duties as assigned
  • Conducts periodic scheduled and unscheduled inventories of cafe’ parts, café’ equipment and non-serialized café’ equipment
  • Directly supervises a team of Field Service Technicians, monitoring and reviewing work performance
  • Recommends remedial actions for reported non-usable and excess stock of café’ parts, non-serialized equipment and serialized café’ equipment
  • Ensures daily processing of receipt of café’ parts, non-serialized equipment and equipment paperwork
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
  • Works in concert with the warehouse personnel to maintain office and warehouse facilities
Position Requirements
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products Word Processing software
  • Utilization of a handheld computer device is preferred
  • Must have an acceptable driving record
  • 3 or more years of experience with service department operations, inventory management, warehouse and sales distribution processes and mechanical skills
  • Valid driver’s license. A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) may be required.
  • Knowledge of SAP a plus.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Experience with Community Coffee, even if unrelated, may fulfill this requirement at the discretion of the hiring manager with approval from Human Resources.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Field Sales Environment- While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts; in high, precarious places; and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but may be moderately loud in warehouse areas.
