We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Extension Educator/Nutrition Links Supervisor to join the nationally recognized Penn State Extension Food, Families, and Health Program Unit.

Job Overview
You'll collaborate with Extension program teams to identify and address critical human health issues through targeted educational events and materials. Your expertise in family and consumer science, especially nutrition education, will be instrumental in designing impactful learning objectives and measuring program success through evaluations.
Key Responsibilities
Develop engaging educational content using various innovative methods such as online courses, videos, mobile apps, and electronic publications.
Collaborate with university faculty to conduct applied research relevant to the needs of our target audience.
Provide nutrition education to improve human health, reduce the incidence of chronic diseases, and enhance overall well-being.
Supervise and support a team of paraprofessional nutrition education advisers, program assistants, and volunteers.
Participate in diverse external funding efforts to support program initiatives.
Qualifications
Master's degree or higher in nutrition science, food science, health education/promotion, family and consumer sciences, or related disciplines.
Knowledge of and commitment to food and agriculture.
Effective communication, teaching, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a team, interact with diverse populations, and manage multiple projects.
Proficiency in using computer software packages, such as Microsoft programs.
Desirable Skills
Experience in teaching, curriculum development, and evaluation.
Cultural/ethnic awareness and the ability to apply inclusive principles in extension efforts.
Proficiency in Spanish communication (a plus, but not required).
