  • Represent The Common Market and the Mid-Atlantic food hub to external stakeholders, including funders, policymakers, and the media
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers, including farmers and ranchers who are at the forefront of creating an equitable and resilient food system
  • Collaborate with other organizations and stakeholders to build strong and resilient regional food systems
  • Lead and manage a diverse and inclusive team, promoting a culture of collaboration and accountability
Requirements
  • Strong financial management skills, including budgeting and forecasting
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to lead, manage, and inspire a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate with diverse stakeholders
  • At least 7 years of experience in nonprofit management, food systems, or a related field
  • Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, business administration, or a related field
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of and/or experience with sustainable agriculture and local food systems
  • Experience developing and implementing strategies to achieve organizational goals
Benefits
  • Retirement Plan (SIMPLE IRA with 100% employer match)
  • The Common Market offers competitive compensation, with an expected salary range between $105,000 – $125,000
  • Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Public Holidays)
  • Life Insurance (100% Employer Paid Life, AD&D and Long Term Disability)
  • Training & Development
  • Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)
