Capital Factory attracts some of the most influential entrepreneurs in Texas, and across the country, to speak and participate at events. The Events Coordinator helps orchestrate logistics to inspire entrepreneurs, investors, and innovators around the world. As the Events Coordinator you will have your hands in each of our major cornerstone events and more!

You create and deliver transformative tech experiences for Capital Factory entrepreneurs and community partners in San Antonio. You will collaborate with the Defense, Programming, and Events Teams, as well as local and corporate partners, to fuel innovation and provide a vibrant platform for the entrepreneurial community.

Requirements

What you will do…

• You will work cross-functionally across all Capital Factory departments to deliver impactful engagement experiences that support our mission and ecosystem
• You will assist with attendee management on the day of events
• Plan, market, and execute programs with our clients at the Boeing Center at Tech Port that include but are not limited to Defense Academy, SBIR/STTR Accelerators, DEI Summits, industry-relevant meetups, and our monthly Cup of Capital
• You will assist with creating the technical run-of-show for all events in San Antonio, including working with the AV/IT Team for the day-of execution
• Work closely with the Events and Venue Manager and other internal stakeholders to push innovation and impact through programming
• You will be responsible for speaker management at events
• You will assist with vendor alignment, maintain relationships with external suppliers, and oversee all day-to-day vendor activity

You'll know you're successful if....

• Your run of show is executed with precision and you practice the flexibility to make changes the day of.
• You enhance, standardize, and document processes for your events
• Partners and sponsors give unsolicited feedback about how great you are to work with in the venue and show they mean it by giving us repeat business
• Your events are well attended, and the participants and sponsors have a high satisfaction rate
• You have a productive and collaborative relationship with all Capital Factory teams and departments.
• Event organizers and guests have a great experience, post it to social media, and rave about their visit
• Your events end up slightly under the projected budget

About You…

• You have experience producing events and managing an event space
• You’re unfazeable. When everyone else is getting stressed or excited, you keep your cool
• You are a problem solver. You look for ways to make things work better and how to turn chaos into systems
• You check your email in the evenings and are available to work during evening events and over the weekends when there is a tight deadline. You do what it takes to get the job done
• You have a reliable laptop computer & smartphone that you are comfortable using for work
• You are organized and plan ahead, but you don’t get stressed out when things change at the last minute… because they will. You roll with it
• You are a documentor. You make lists and spreadsheets
• You plan to stay in Texas for at least two years
