Job Description
Description

Assist Director of Special Events & Catering Sales with Events and Entertainment, including coordination, compliance, contracts, event setup, etc.
Essential Duties
Administrative duties: photocopying, filing, return phone calls. Create Banquet Event Orders, prepare proper documents for BEO meetings, manage deposits, follow up with payments, and follow up and insurance certificates for events. In addition, execute and review contracts, assist with Casino promotions calendar, coordinate internal events, assistant in planning, set-up and execution of Special Events, Concerts, etc. Ensure adherence and compliance with all department and company policies, procedures, internal controls and government regulations. Attend meetings and training sessions. Assist in achieving sales goals. Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Physical and Mental
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Be able to focus on short and long-term commitments and stay abreast of changes in the regulatory environment. Effectively track and communicate results of efforts. Ability to work with a PC. Ability to lift 25 lbs. Required to understand and communicate and follow directions both verbally and in written English. Flexibility in work schedule. Present oneself in a neat and clean appearance at all times. Work in a fast-paced, high volume, high-stress environment with constant distractions and noise. Nights and weekends are part of the regular schedule.
Work/Educational Experience
  • Must be at least 18 years old, possess a high school or equivalent diploma and have the ability to obtain the appropriate license pursuant to the New York State Lottery regulations.
  • OR Three (3) years’ experience related work experience
  • Associate’s Degree in related field
