Emerge is seeking an experienced Event Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the leadership and ownership of full-scale management of small to large scale events. The events include vendor and client management, venue management, production coordination, hotel room blocks, and contract negotiation.

Although this is a remote role, we are specifically seeking people who reside in the Eastern time zone.

Job Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison to senior executives and client leaders throughout the planning process
• Proactively identify and solve operational challenges
• Assume total responsibility and ownership in leading the planning and execution of all assigned events by coordinating with Emerge staff, clients, and vendors to establish event requirements
• Establish procedures to train staff on execution
• Oversee client experiences from conception through post-event review; manage on-site preparations, production, and event breakdown and ensure consistent, high-level service throughout all phases of the event
• Troubleshoot any issues that arise on event dayRemain current (or ahead of the curve) with trends in event planning, design, and production
• Nurture and build relationships with vendors, venues, and other industry contacts while crafting and implementing the creative and logistical aspects of all events
• Plan and facilitate logistics for all events, including contract negotiations, guest lists, venue preparation, presentation materials, security, catering, entertainment, transportation, equipment, décor, and marketing materialsLocate resources, visit sites, and lead pre-event meetings to help leadership determine event design
• Build and maintain a comprehensive database of industry contacts, vendors, and venues

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and strong project management skills
• Strong verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
• Extensive experience in managing enterprise, leadership-level events in various formats and locations: in-person, hybrid, and virtual.
• Minimum 3-5 years of corporate event planning experience
• Demonstrated ability to convene and collaborate with multiple parties with varying interests and priorities
• Ability to multitask and troubleshoot problems in a high-paced environment while demonstrating a calm demeanor
• Significant knowledge or experience with various hybrid and virtual event platforms and audio/visual technology products and vendors
• BA/BS degree or related work experience
• Possess a take-charge attitude
