Event Marketing Specialist

Betterworks is seeking an enthusiastic and driven marketer to join their team as an Event Marketing Specialist. In this entry-level role, you will be responsible for executing Betterworks' virtual events program, including webinars that contribute to increasing brand awareness, driving demand generation, and supporting customer engagement and retention efforts.

As the Event Marketing Specialist, you will manage Betterworks' webinars, including our highly successful People Fundamentals series, a monthly webinar featuring HR thought leaders across the industry, Betterworks hosted webinars, 3rd party hosted webinars, and product innovation webinars. You will work closely with the sales organization and revenue operations on lead handoff and event follow-up as part of the growth marketing function. Reporting to the Sr. Growth Marketing Manager, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively within the Marketing team to develop and execute impactful virtual events.

Responsibilities

  • Manage event content: The digital events specialist may be responsible for creating draft content for the event, such as presentations, videos, or marketing materials
  • Coordinate event logistics: This includes managing event registration, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring that all necessary equipment and materials are available.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders: The digital events specialist works closely with internal and external stakeholders, such as event sponsors, vendors, and speakers, to ensure that the event meets the needs of all participants.
  • Work with the marketing ops team to produce regular reports on the performance of key metrics aligned to overall business KPIs.
  • Execute virtual event strategies that will bring life to Betterworks’ brand and messaging in the form of digital events to generate new leads, increase sales pipeline and qualified opportunities, and support our customers with unique and valuable content.
  • Managing the event technology platform, such as On24. This includes setting up and testing the platform, as well as troubleshooting technical issues during the event.
  • Overall responsibility for ensuring that all aspects of the event, such as content, speakers, and logistics, are properly planned and executed.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Prior experience running B2B marketing events in the HR Tech space is a plus.
  • A proven ability to work on multiple projects at once in a detail-oriented, fast-paced role.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills are also essential for success in this role.
  • Experience working within marketing and event platforms such as Marketo, Bizzabo, On24, and Salesforce is a plus.
  • 1-3 years of experience running virtual events to generate and nurture leads.
