Job Description
Description
The Office of Assessment and Evaluation is responsible for the collection and reporting of data necessary to evaluate the performance of the Medical Degree curriculum. Within this office, The Evaluation Specialist supports projects related to institutional and program evaluations as well as curriculum mapping. This position oversees data analysis and reporting from both quantitative and qualitative methods. The Evaluation Specialist’s primary role is to create, monitor, analyze and report on evaluations using questionnaires and surveys to support these efforts.
Responsibilities
  • Participate in institutional meetings, which may include the Continuous Quality Improvement Committee, or other ISMMS committees as appointed or directed.
  • Support other members of the Office of Assessment and Evaluation with evaluation and assessment projects, as requested/assigned.
  • Analyze evaluation data and prepare top line findings for governance review of courses and clerkships
  • Help to ensure the high quality of all survey outputs through constant review of survey building processes and methodologies
  • Thematically analyze qualitative data collected in evaluations
  • Build, manage and report on institutional evaluations such as student surveys, institutional services evaluations, climate surveys, etc.
  • Implement and manage live surveys, ensuring any inconsistencies or issues are resolved in a timely manner
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Plan and design surveys, and determine appropriate survey methods
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s degree required.
Minimum Related Experience:
Related administrative experience required; experience in database management preferred.
Qualifications/Skills
  • Experience with basic evaluation and survey programs such as Excel, SPSS, SurveyMonkey, or Qualtrics is required.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Time management skills
  • Organizational and project management skills - preferably experience in project management
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Computer and database proficiency
  • Ability to work independently as well as commitment to teamwork and collaboration
  • Written and oral communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to multi-task and complete work in required timelines
Compensation Statement
The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for this role is $58,661.00 - $74,250.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
