Requirements
- An understanding of the Capital Expenditure process and the application of appropriate regulations and controls to projects totaling up to and over $3MM will be a key function of this role.
- This position requires interpreting and implementing complex environmental regulations on the federal and state level, discussing path-forward options as part of a team, and prioritizing work to meet internal and external deadlines.
- The review and recommendation of technological measures to effectively improve and maintain site compliance may be required.
- An understanding of operational processes within the chemical manufacturing industry and how the industry is regulated by the Clean Air Act is required.
- Knowledge of Clean Air Act Title V permitting requirements are an absolute must; a Professional Engineering certification or similar credential, or the ability to acquire this certification within 1-3 years is of advantage.
- Must be able to execute detailed responsibilities, as directed by the Environmental Manager, in a fast-paced environment so as to meet job performance expectations in a consistent fashion so that the entire air compliance program exists in an “audit-ready” condition at all times.
- This positional requires a college degree in either Engineering (chemical or environmental) or comparable science (chemistry, environmental science, etc.), and prior industrial air compliance and permitting experience.
