Job Description

Term of Employment

  • This position is 100% remote. Candidates must reside within a commutable distance of Washington, DC 20024 to consider equipment pickup and a one-day onsite orientation.
  • There will be six (6) weeks of training (9/5-10/13). Absences are NOT permitted during this period.
  • This position is a typical Monday – Friday, first shift role. During ‘Open Enrollment Season’ (November – December), there may be some work required on Saturdays.
  • Contract, 6 Months (Possible Extension & Permanent Conversion)


Overview


Our client is seeking Enrollment Technician to support ‘Open Enrollment Season’ for eligible members in the federal space. Core responsibilities include:

  • Enrolling subscribers and dependents for all business in a timely manner to meet the corporate objective of the issuance of timely and accurate ID cards.
  • Meeting set Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Resolving enrollment errors and reports in accordance with corporate guidelines.
  • Adhering to HIPAA guidelines and other relevant state and federal regulations, and company policies regarding compliance, integrity, patient privacy, and ethical billing practices.
  • Performing basic account installation functions, including review of group setup documentation, simple group structure setup, and coding on enrollment system.
  • Processing terminations, coverage level changes, and other forms of subsequent enrollment activities for both paper and automated enrollment accounts.
  • Ensuring all insurance, demographic, and eligibility information is entered into the system in an accurate and timely manner.


Required Skills & Experience


  • Ability to successfully complete distance learning (webinars, online, E-Learning).
  • Ability to navigate concurrently between multiple software systems with ease.
  • Ability to retrieve, examine, and input information into different systems/databases.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform internet research and think outside of the box.
  • Ability to and experience working in a quality / production-driven (KPIs) environment.
  • Ability to interface with a culturally diverse population.
  • High School Diploma and 3+ years of experience in a dedicated administrative, customer service, and/or data entry position.
  • Ability to learn and work in a virtual environment.
  • Strong skills in typing (40+ WPM) and Microsoft Office.
