• Lecture rate is \$56.70-64.10 per contact hour (\$623.70 - \$705.10 per credit).
• At a Glance! *The ELL Part-time Faculty will teach the English language to diverse groups of students attending classes together in a competency based program. • Lab rate is \$43.44-47.74 per contact hour (\$955.68-\$1050.28 per credit).
• Practicum rate is \$31.83 per contact hour (\$1050.39 per credit).

Examples of Duties & Responsibilities

• Identify and mitigate barriers to success that many students face
• Provide individualized support to promote student success.
• Proctor CASAS tests as needed; using diagnostic tools to foster academic advancement
• Teach and interact effectively with staff and students of various cultural, ethnic, generational and socio-economic backgrounds
• Impart expertise, enthusiasm and creativity in teaching English language courses.
• Promote innovative learning experiences with professional-technical programs, cross-disciplinary team teaching, and integration with other LCC programs
• Maintain and submit student records, documentation and program reports.
• Participate in department and college activities, meetings and recruitment opportunities.
• Participate in ongoing instructional assessment, using current field-specific research findings, data, and educational techniques to develop/modify course content
• Teach English contextualized in subjects required for a high school diploma to immigrant and international students
• Maintain availability outside of class time for student consultation.
• Apply current theories and research on teaching/learning styles, collaborative learning, assessment, and multicultural education
• Work with students to develop personal, academic and career goals and provide instruction and assessment enabling the student to enter a college program, obtain or retain employment, earn a high school diploma, equivalency certificate, or complete other identified goals.
• Lead with equity by creating an equitable learning environment that supports success for all students.
• Offer outcomes-based instruction and utilize a curriculum that incorporates the College and Career Readiness Standards (CCRS).
• Other duties as assigned

• Utilize technology to provide engaging and innovative language learning experiences

Typical Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (BA) in English Language Learning, TESOL; OR related discipline
• Minimum Requirements *
