Job Description

Venteon Finance is hiring an EMPLOYEE RELATIONS SPECIALIST to provide support in Troy, MI.

You will provide direct support on the HR team for an automotive manufacturer.


POSITION TYPE: Full time. Direct Hire. In Office.

PAY: $70,000 to $80,000 annual plus benefits package.


Requirements of the Employee Relations Specialist:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Human Resources highly desired. Strong experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Candidates with HR Certifications: SPHR or PHR given priority consideration.
  • 8-10 years of Human Resources work experience is required, with specific experience in HR policy development and providing support in a union company.
  • Automotive manufacturing industry experience.
  • Excellent research, analysis, problem solving, and communication skills needed.


Responsibilities of the Employee Relations Specialist:

  • Update and maintain KPI reporting. Develop solutions for improving results.
  • Ensure that diversity, equity, and inclusion directives as well as labor relations are considered in the development of effective work policies.
  • Work in a collaborative environment gaining knowledge and sharing knowledge with others.
  • Conduct employee surveys. Measure and analyze results. Follow up on complaints.
  • Remain engaged in continuous improvement activities.
  • Responsible for messaging and communication of current and revised company policies and standards.
  • The purpose of this role is to provide employees with a positive experience and work environment. You will provide both employee relations and labor relations support.
  • Develop and administer the company handbook.
  • Ensure compliance with all employment laws and regulations is met.
  • Advise and train employees and managers. Identify new work issues as they arise, hold conversation, come up with solutions. Conduct risk assessments and counsel all levels of staff as needed.
