Purpose of Position:

To operate electroencephalograph equipment to measure impulse frequency and differences in electrical potential between areas of the brain and/or to obtain data for use on diagnosing brain disorders

Responsibilities:

• Identifies tracings, prepares records and enters results into HDS.
• Verifies orders through HIS and sets-up priorities of patients requiring electrocepha-lographic tests, (EEG tests)
• Attached electrodes to the patient's head
• Prepares and positions patients for EEGs tests
• Maintains s patient records, both paper and computerized trough electronic storage

1. Graduation from a Senior High School or possession of a High School Equivalency Diploma, and one year of experience as an Electroencephalograph Technician in an approved hospital or in the office of a recognized Psychiatrist, Neurologist or Neurosurgeon; or,
2. A satisfactory equivalent.

2 years' experience as an EEG Technician

Tour 8:00am-4:00pm
