We are seeking a dedicated and skilled On-Site Gym Technician to join our team. As the On-Site Gym Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our gym facilities, ensuring they are safe, functional, and well-maintained for our clients.

Responsibilities

1. Equipment Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs on gym equipment such as treadmills, ellipticals, weight machines, and free weights. Keep a record of maintenance activities and perform preventive measures to minimize downtime.
2. Facility Maintenance: Monitor the overall cleanliness and organization of the gym, including locker rooms, showers, and common areas. Coordinate with cleaning staff to ensure a hygienic and welcoming environment.
3. Safety Compliance: Implement and enforce safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries. Conduct routine inspections to identify potential hazards and address them promptly. Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations.
4. User Assistance: Provide assistance and guidance to gym users regarding equipment usage, proper form, and exercise techniques. Address user inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
5. Inventory Management: Track inventory of gym supplies, including fitness equipment, cleaning supplies, and accessories. Coordinate with suppliers to replenish stock as needed and maintain accurate inventory records.
6. Equipment Upgrades: Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in fitness equipment. Make recommendations for equipment upgrades or replacements based on user feedback, usage patterns, and emerging technologies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. Relevant certification or technical training in gym equipment maintenance is a plus.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations related to gym facilities.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time efficiently.
• Proven experience in gym or facility maintenance, preferably in a similar role.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
• Strong knowledge of various gym equipment and their maintenance requirements.
