Summary:
The Electric Forklift general manager works directly with the leadership team to generate new business and grow revenues for electric forklifts. The role is responsible for implementing strategic initiatives that increase the sales and lease for the Electric Forklifts sold by Phoenix Motorcars. This individual will support all aspects of sales and marketing, including strategy, customer development, tradeshows, developing leasing programs, and supporting customers with government incentives with an entrepreneurial spirit.
Role and Responsibilities
- Work within sales/marketing department to help mature database, marketing materials, tracking and other internal tools
- Other tasks as required
- Reach agreed upon sales targets by the deadline
- Present and sell company products and services to new and existing customers (Equipment, Parts, Service, and Rentals)
- Perform sales presentations and demonstrations to customers and prospects
- Support training of new channel partners
- Support marketing initiatives (i.e., tradeshows, presentations, etc.)
- Accurately forecast revenue for territory and accounts, maintain contact information, business history and opportunity details in salesforce.com continuously
- Qualify and develop new business opportunities from outbound/inbound calls, leads, general prospecting, and email marketing. This includes cold calling and networking in the region to develop one’s own opportunities.
- Develop territory strategy, including channel leverage and internal resource requirements, for each account
- Resolve customer inquiries and complaints
- Travel extensively into the territory to develop and maintain relationships with key customer contacts, present, articulate/clarify value, and differentiation, and win the business in the expected timeframe
- Partner with field reseller partners and/or service partners to develop sales opportunities and to support sales and implementation activities
- Identify and secure funding through groups such as CEC, CARB, etc.
Qualifications and Educational Requirements
Minimum 3 years experience in electric forklift sales in California
Dynamic leadership skills
Strong communication and presentation skills
Self-motivated, strong execution capability
University degree preferred or equivalent work experience
Loves to work in a team environment but able to work independently
Has industry expertise and loves to close the bridge between industry and technology
Start-up mentality
