Job Description

ChinaTalk is looking for a new editor!


Work with me for 5-10 hrs/week to help make the ChinaTalk newsletter and podcast amazing. I'm hoping for you to contributearticles to the ChinaTalk newsletter, bothoriginal reportingandtranslations andanalysis of Chinese language media.


Other potential reponsibilities include editing podcast episodes with Descript (no prior audio experience required), editing transcriptions for publication on the newsletter, writing show notes and drafting promotional tweet threads.


Pay: $25/hr with the potential to increase over time


Requirements:

A generalist's knowledge of modern China and a hunger to learn more

Ability to commit for at least 3 months

Professional English writing skills

Ability to confidently translate WeChat article-level Chinese
