DSHS IT Customer Support – Journey

Come join the Division of Child Support (DCS) IT Service and Support Team within the Economic Services Administration (ESA) who providing global IT services 9 field offices, 35 Prosecuting Attorney Family Support offices and multiple outstations statewide!

As IT Desktop Support, you will ensures the accessibility of mission critical systems, including SEMS and FMIS, to ensure DCS staff and partners are able to deliver essential child support services that transform lives by empowering parents and families to thrive.

Some of what you’ll do:

  • Manage inventory of Information Technology (IT) resources
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and/or develop appropriate technology solutions
  • Support network servers, business unit systems, and hardware infrastructure
  • Independently analyze, diagnose, and resolve customer reported information technology incidents reported in division approved ticketing system. Troubleshoot system hardware and software, including network switch support
  • Plan and coordinate the delivery of technical support to the Division of Child Support (DCS) including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, customer assistance, and /or training, in response to customer requirements
  • Train staff on IT processes and procedures and create documentation for the team
What we’re looking for:
Professionals with a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent and four years of Information Technology experience in an enterprise network Microsoft (MS) Operating System (O/S) environment, supporting MS Server O/S 2012 and above, knowledge of Active Directory, NTFS share and file permissions, print sharing, switch management, desktop support (Windows 2007 O/S and above), asset management and auditing

OR

An associate’s in Management Information Systems, Computer Information Technology or related field AND two years of experience installing, configuring and maintaining computer workstation hardware, software and peripherals or related experience

OR

A bachelor’s in Management Information Systems, Computer Information Technology or related field

AND
  • At least one year of experience working directly with users to assist and resolve IT inquiries, problems, and complaints locally and remotely
  • At least one year of experience providing Telephony Systems administration and support
  • At least one year of experience providing system administration for Ocularis System
