Job Description
The Document Production Specialist is responsible for efficient, accurate and timely production of health insurance member-facing contract documents including drafting, formatting, proofreading, and identifying corrections needed during development and post production. This is an experienced level professional position that includes the release of the final documents to the print vendor for hard copies and to the web team to enable member online access. This position will consult with internal departments and vendors to develop and produce documents that are responsive to customer needs, as well as compliant with business, state and federal regulatory, and compliance requirements. The Specialist may contribute to process improvements and is expected to work through product issues to resolution. Thorough and effective communication on production statuses and issues is required.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree majoring in Marketing, Business Administration/Analysis, or English preferred, or equivalent experience in related field
  • 3 years of related work experience beyond degree, preferably in health insurance industry.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to partner with internal departments and vendors to achieve quality results
  • Detailed knowledge of health insurance and managed care products, benefit design and member/employer documents
  • Demonstrates a high degree of initiative and must be a self-starter
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in product, design and implementation of healthcare products within a healthcare/managed care organization
  • Strong drive for results and accountability
  • Superior attention to detail and proof-reading skills
  • Manage the effects of and complying with regulatory, financial, compliance, and legal changes
This position is a Remote role. The employee must be located in any state in which Medica is an employer and will work remotely 100% of the time.
