The position will be part of the Engineering and Construction team, based in Houston.
This role is responsible for supporting the development, engineering, and execution teams by establishing and maintaining the Electronic Data Management Systems (EDMS). The role will work with the internal and third party engineering centers by coordinating all document transfers and / or comments between the entities. The role will also coordinate and transmit comments to suppliers, internal and third party engineering centers, and the construction sites, will be responsible for the transmittal of all final project documents to the operating entities such as Large Industries, Electronics, and AirGas, and will provide administrative functions and / or training for the EDMS.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with the project team to ensure proper usage of EDMS.
- Understand and train project team members on the proper usage of Electronic Data Management Systems (EDMS).
- Establish and maintain a project archiving strategy for hard copy project documents.
- Track distributions of project related material.
- Ensure project schedules are met with regard to processing documents.
- Coordinate with the project team to ensure proper storage of deliverable documents and collection of required metadata.
- Support Information management work processes.
- Support global multi-office execution by maintaining interfaces between document management personnel and project teams in different offices.
- Coordinate with third party engineering companies concerning document transfer between the entities
- Comply with all company Procedures, Engineering Practices and other standards
- Ensure adherence to Air Liquide and industry standards, in addition to all applicable federal, state and local codes
- Monitor progress of project handover requirements for hard and soft copy documents upon project completion.
- Meet or exceed the company’s safety standards
- Distribute documents to internal personnel for comment and / or approval
- Transmit comments to suppliers, other Air Liquide engineering entities, and third party engineering companies

Education & Experience
- Ability to apply document control processes to a variety of electronic document management systems.
- 5+ years experience in Engineering related Document Management.
- Ability to evaluate difficult issues and implement corrective actions.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Strong organizational and people management skills.
- Knowledge of project development, project execution, and project handover processes
- Ability to interact effectively with other entities / disciplines / departments.
- High School diploma required. Bachelor's degree is recommended
