GENERAL PURPOSE OF POSITION
Quality Assurance and Document Control Specialist will be responsible for, but is not limited to, document control function, including document login, tracking, processing, distributing, and archiving; MTRs; management of non-conformance records; and participating in internal audits and supporting external audits.
POSITION FUNCTIONS
- Promote the awareness of all employees to work safely and protecting the environment.
- Make rational use of available resources for the development of activities such as:
- Control and maintain the system for issuance recording / filling, tracking, retrieval of documents like procedures, plans, QA/QC records, specifications, drawings, and related documents.
- Comply with the rules, regulations the Company Health and Safety Management System’s instructions and those defined by the Federal Law and other legislation.
- Ensure compliance with the BMS Policy and project quality plan.
- Assist with performing internal and external audits or inspections as required.
- Maintain all correspondence and other transmittals from the Clients and other contractor / suppliers / vendors in a systematic way to facilitate an easy reference at all time.
- Submitting technical documents for review and approval.
- Assisting the subcontractors in the resolution of drawing interpretation (if requested).
- Considering the implications of delays in as-built documentation and bringing these to the attention of the QHSE Coordinator.
- Ensuring the quality records, acceptance certificates, mechanical completion certificates and the documentation for specific systems and buildings/areas are prepared and collated in accordance with project requirements. Preparation and monitoring for completion of Inspection Reports.
- Verify that only the last revision documentation, procedures, submittals, etc., are distributed to all locations and involved parties concerned including sub-contractors.
- Reviewing of inspection test plans (ITP’s) prior to and during the course of construction activities and ensuring documentation is collected for work package closure and turn-over filing.
- Ensure compliance with industrial safety standards during the Project execution.
- Coordinating with the Manufacturing for the completion of as-built documentation.
- Properly dispose the generated waste during the development of activities in accordance with established procedures.
- Ensure that all controlled Quality documents related to the Project are maintained to the latest issue, and that these documents are made available at all locations where operations essential for the effective functioning of the Boccard Management System are performed.
- Work for the Quality Assurance, the profitability and the Project fulfillment.
- Generating, assembling, maintaining, and completing final turnover binders - hard copy and electronic files and folders per Project requirements and/or Work Package Inspection and Test Plans.
- Transmittal of drawings, quality procedures, related documentation to the concerned contractors, departments, vendors and client.
- Prepare and update of various logs and registers.
- Reviewing inspection reports for compliance and ensuring these, and attached documents are filed.
- Prepare all documents based on the quality procedures for internal and external audit.
Energy, water, materials and other consumables.
- Timely inform the Safety Manager or immediate supervisor of all incidents and accidents with damage or injury to persons, environment, equipment and materials, for preparation and reporting of accidents / incidents.
- Perform all duties related to his/her position or assigned by the immediate manager.
- Follow all company policies as stated in the employee Handbook and Employee Health and Safety Manual.
Pay:
$45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
Ability to commute/relocate:
Houston, TX 77017: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Work Location: In person
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Education:
This position requires a High School diploma or GED
Experience:
A minimum of 3 years experience on quality control is required.
