POSITION TITLE: Document Control Specialist (temporary position)
REPORTS TO: Hardware Engineering Manager/Director
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Document Control Specialist manages engineering and manufacturing documentation for electronic products using PLM software.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the Document Control change processes for ECO, MCO, Deviations and Stop Notices
- Create, release, and maintain item and vendor part number records in the PLM system.
- Comply with all company policies and personal rules of conduct.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with Arena Solutions Empower preferred.
- Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
- 2 years of experience using PLM, ERP or MRP tools for electronics manufacturing.
JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Able to manage a number of projects at one time.
- Able to maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and contract manufacturers.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills required to prioritize workload on a daily basis with minimal supervision.
- Ability to confer with document originators to resolve non-conformances with documentation standards.
- An understanding of basic engineering documentation including structured, multilevel, bill of materials
- Able to carry out detailed written or verbal instructions.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and speed of work is critical.
