Job Description

We are looking for teachers who could help people in refugee camps. We are seeking talented people with hearts who want to make a difference in the lives and care of people in the refugee camp but with an ever-burning desire to progress in life. We invite anyone interested and optimistic about adding value to the lives of those living in the refugee camps. At SDIG, we foster peace, equity, and social justice for all. So if you want to step from your comfort zone and learn from others by doing, here is your opportunity.

Responsibilities

You will be training on using Team and Zoom as the primary medium of communicating with this eager-to-learn; it provides an excellent opportunity for the participant to gain experience from people in ways that capture what Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie reminds us in her TED Talk-The Danger of a single story. In it. she demonstrated the importance of experience that is open to varied perspectives in life: https://tinyurl.com/624xm7n8

Participants will be expected to partner with teachers already teaching in those camps. It will undoubtedly provide you with a window through which you can learn about the experiences of those who live their lives as refugees for one reason or another. It will be an experience that participants would characterize as having enriched them, it would be, by root, a couple of hours per week, and of course, you can increase or decrease based on your availability.

Providing you can communicate and engage in planning with your team; you will find it to be practical work that would stay with you and stand out as one of the most value-driven works you could do for the betterment of lives.

Example: Determine and develop user requirements for systems in production to ensure maximum usability

Qualifications

We need compassionate and caring human beings to use their talents to meet the needs of so many deserving people in the refugee camp. To apply, you must possess a minimum of an Associate Degree with heart; people in education or social services are strongly encouraged to apply (Skills, Education, Experience working with people who can communicate verbal and writing skills.)
