Job Description

Korn Ferry has joined efforts with a top manufacturing partner in their search for a Director, Talent Management in Overland Park, Kansas. This high profile and impactful position will lead and manage the talent management programs and policies by providing strategy, vision, and overall oversight. Working directly with senior leadership, this individual will focus on inclusive hiring activities and strategies. By translating all HR strategies to operations and partnering with other leadership, you will help the company meet goals through leading talent acquisition, performance and success criteria, creating diversity pipelines and strategies, L&D activities and change management.


Scope of Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and run all recruiting, talent acquisition, and retention programs
  • Assess and advance the use of HR tools and complete special projects
  • Oversee talent management including talent reviews, succession and development planning, leadership building, and diversity and inclusion
  • Use data analytics and technology to find innovative solutions
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of all laws and regulations regarding talent management, employment, and compliance to be able to provide insight and recommendations
  • Align HR strategy with business goals by partnering with corporate leadership
  • Participate in hands on day to day management of talent acquisition and ensure compliance for all aspects
  • Lead company culture initiatives including those pertaining to diversity and inclusion, equity, belonging, and engagement


Requirements:

  • Experience as an ATS administrator and LMS
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage conflicting priorities and meet all deadlines.
  • Experience leading DE&I initiatives in industrial environment
  • Confident, purposeful, and direct communicator with all levels of employees in the organization effectively and with confidentiality
  • Experience leading a talent team
  • Analytical skills that can be used to collect and interpret data, and then communicate the findings of this data
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, organizational development or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience
  • Manufacturing, industrial, or mining experience
  • 5+ years experience leading talent acquisition and doing organizational development
