Job Description
The Systems Director oversees the department responsible for the planning and engineering of DAOU’s systems infrastructure. They provide leadership to the team to ensure the requirements of the projects/contracts are met. Responsible for spearheading the implementation and development of systems and networks within a company, ensuring efficiency and smooth workflow. Their responsibilities revolve around setting goals and objectives, allocating budgets, identifying company needs, and developing strategies to optimize operations. They also manage the IT & systems team and resolve any issues as needed.
Core Responsibilities
Section # 1: ERP
  • Configure system(s), validate software user-adoption, and oversee issue resolution.
  • Member of core team leading our phased ERP implementation of MS Dynamics Business Central.
  • Manage the administration of our ERP system, including security, master data and its governance, financial, operational and project modules, and data interfaces.
  • Oversee planning and prioritization of system enhancements and design specifications for current and future generations of ERP system.
Section # 2: IT
  • Manage IT Administrator(s) and supervise third party vendors to provide guidance.
  • Inspect the use of technological equipment and software to ensure functionality and efficiency.
  • Devise and establish IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by upper management.
  • Oversee all technology operations and evaluate them according to established goals.
  • Assist in building relationships with vendors and creating cost-efficient contracts.
Section #3: Business Systems
  • Uses Systems and business process knowledge to understand and gather customer requirements as inputs to effective Systems design and enhancements.
  • Configures, tests and coordinates validation of changes with other units or departments in required.
  • Acts as the information security steward granting necessary access to individuals that balances the needs of positions with proper internal controls.
  • Creates and maintains technical documentation on Systems (including Systems architecture), business processes and integration points.
  • Participates as primary technical lead on information technology project teams.
  • Oversees, maintains, updates, tests, and troubleshoots systems and business processes in a manner that minimizes downtime and encourages feedback from departments.
  • Supports other department initiatives with representation, working on project teams and coordination of change management.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in MS Office, SQL, and Project Management software.
  • Ability to partner with cross-functional peers and other key stakeholders while successfully driving change management.
  • Engagement in the development, management, and execution of Strategic Initiatives
  • 7+ years of experience in a systems-related role with demonstrated success working with internal and/or external clients.
  • Experience managing enterprise financial systems (preferably Business Central or Microsoft Navision), including full administration, master data, security, data governance, core project and general ledger modules, interfaces with external information, and reporting.
  • 3+ years of experience in a leadership role.
  • Ability to prioritize, work independently, and productively collaborate with various teams to manage action items and meet deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Computer Science, Information Systems or Finance.
  • Strong leader who is results oriented, strong attention to detail, displays critical thinking and analytical skills, creative, and is an effective communicator.
  • Professional services industry experience a plus.
