Who are we looking for?

The IT Systems Analyst, EDI provides development and technical support for the EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) process. Key responsibilities include managing and troubleshooting system processes and production workflows. We are seeking a skilled problem solver who can troubleshoot complex systems, including proper escalation and problem resolution. The right candidate will possess a highly technical background coupled with strong analytical abilities. Additionally, you will be a strong communicator, with the ability to translate technical information to a non-technical audience as needed.

You may be hired as an Associate IT Systems Analyst, EDI or an IT Systems Analyst, EDI based on your depth of skill and breadth of experience.

What does this position pay?

Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, experience level, and geographic location.

The expected range for this role is $65,000 to $75,000, annual base compensation. Please note this range is an estimate; actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.

What will you do?

• Utilizes a FileTransfer Tool (FTT) for supported file transfer protocols
• Monitor daily EDI transactions, including lifecycle reconciliation
• Performs file routing configuration using regular expressions
• Diagnoses problems with EDI processes, working with other technical and/or business resources as necessary for assistance
• Provide regular reporting on metrics and trends in order to identify areas for improvement and automation
• Automate or enhance manual tasks utilizing Automate 11/Enterprise or other tools
• Provides development and support for Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) processes and utilities, including testing, implementing and maintaining EDI transactions
• Establish, document, and maintain EDI procedures/processes
• Acts as an escalated technical contact for external trading partners/payers on EDI-related issues, questions, and activities
• Conducts Error/Rejection Monitoring and Resolution using Command Line in order to more efficiently identify and resolve errors
• Oversees EDI and batch processes daily
• Utilize Salesforce to resolve cases

What education and experience do you need?

A combination of the following education and experience factors will be considered:

• Equivalent combination of education and professional experience will be considered
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a healthcare related field strongly preferred
• Prior experience in revenue cycle management, healthcare, software and/or healthcare EDI required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of X12 transactions (999, 837, 835, 270/271, 276/277) and HL7 required
• Demonstrated experience in navigating Federal, State, and HIPAA regulations with respect to the reporting and access of sensitive information (PHI)
• Structured Query Language (SQL) technical skills experience
• Data Analyst skills experience
