Director, Supply Chain

Consistent with SSE standards this role will develop, oversee, and continually improve the Domestic and International Supply Chain vision and strategy. You will create, maintain and continually evolve the systems, tactics, infrastructure, and work environment to support the business goals of our Licensed Partners and Shake Shack standards including but not limited to safe, secure, wholesome foods delivered at the lowest possible total cost.

• Coordinate availability of US sourced raw material and further processed supply for global partners.
• Provide weekly, quarterly, and annual production forecasts to raw material suppliers, further processors, and distributors. Tracking, troubleshooting and problem-solving inventory levels including inbound and outbound transportation movement.
• Site visits of harvest facilities and processing plants to determine physical capabilities; working with suppliers, commercialization, and quality assurance teams to improve quality.
• Lead and mentor direct employees and provide overall business leadership. Lead, develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships to ensure Shake Shack is the preferred buyer.
• Develop strategic initiatives to secure beef, chicken and pork raw material and further processing capacity for raw material to scale for future growth.
• Identify and implement strategies for commodity cost mitigation, including monitoring commodity and financial markets to anticipate market changes. Communicate weekly, monthly and quarterly market conditions and financial forecast guidance for Executive level review.

International

• Identify and manage risks within the supply chain, including supplier performance, inventory management, and logistics across 17 countries and multiple partners
• Develop and maintain key performance metrics to measure the performance of the supply chain and drive continuous improvement
• Support Culinary Initiatives including LTO’s, collaborations that drive guest traffic and enhance guest experiences
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on supply chain initiatives and drive change management efforts where necessary
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of global supply chain trends, emerging technologies, and best practices
• Manage relationships with logistics partners and ensure optimal transportation and delivery solutions for the business
• Develop and implement an international supply chain strategy that supports the growth of the business
• Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
• Collaborate with more than 80 suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products

Qualifications

• Experience with Global protein procurement
• Skilled communicator, negotiator, team leader
• 8 years in multi-unit National Chain restaurant supply chain
• Experienced in a multi-cultural business environment
• Experience managing global supply chains, including procurement, logistics, and inventory management
• 3 years of international supply chain experience in the franchised food service industry

Pay Range - $141,550.00 - $192,050.00
