Role Summary:

The Director of Site Merchandising will be responsible for developing and executing the overall growth and merchandising strategy of a total division of business on Saks.com to achieve topline sales objectives. This role reports directly to the VP of Category Growth, and works closely with cross-functional partners to develop, implement, and execute data-driven channel strategies, marketing activations, and a customer-centric site experience.

Key Qualifications:

• 3+ years of demonstrated experience managing a team with the ability to engage and motivate talent with a growth mindset
• Customer-obsessed, focused on building a best-in-class digital experience
• Must have advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Adobe Analytics, with a capacity to learn new systems swiftly
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a cross-functional team
• 6+ years online site merchandising and/or ecommerce experience required; experience working with Salesforce Commerce Cloud highly preferred
• Exceptional strategic thinking and creative problem solving with superior analytical skills and ability to create ad hoc reporting and analysis
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail whilst operating in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to spearhead initiatives and run point on key projects that may fall outside of day-to-day responsibilities

Role Description:

• Lead a team of individuals focusing on execution of business strategies with an emphasis on collaboration and inclusivity
• Serve as the lead from the Category Growth to plan out A/B testing roadmap, execute the test, monitor for any issues, and interpret the results based on statistical significance.
• Develops and drives initiatives and optimizations to enhance the high-level product discovery experience on saks.com with an emphasis on onsite navigation, search, and product arrays to accomplish goals against key KPIs
• Partner closely with cross functional team leaders to develop and enhance the Saks brand, website, and competitive positioning
• Liaises with UX and product/tech teams to advocate for and action on site merchandising insights and enhancements
• Leads workflows and operational timelines around site merchandising systems and processes anticipating and reacting to business opportunities
• Partner with our overseas office in India to ensure alignment with overall strategy and flawless execution
• Conduct data analysis and market research to identify opportunities
• The Director is responsible for developing the overall saks.com site merchandising strategy focusing on optimizing revenue, conversion, customer engagement and while managing cross-site merchandising initiatives
• Develop dashboards to monitor the metrics that directly and indirectly drive digital growth.
