Description:


Responsible for the Global Commercial Services Portfolio, the Director – Portfolio Management will report directly to the VP, Issuing and Risk Portfolio, and work with senior Technology and business leaders to manage the GCS Technology Investment portfolio and GCS-Tech Opex plan, with a strategic focus on investment optimization. The successful candidate will have deep investment analytics and financial management experience, relentless attention to detail, executive presentation experience, and the ability to build and leverage positive relationships with the team and partners.


Key Responsibilities Include:


  • Collaborate with Engineering Directors and Centers of Excellence Product Owners to ensure the availability of the required resources in support of development and organizational transformation efforts Scope of Impact/Influence.
  • Lead all aspects of contingent workforce management in conjunction with the vendor management team
  • Partner with Technology and Product leaders to define and plan the investment portfolio, continually prioritizing investments based on business/technical resource availability and business priorities
  • Develop and coach your team through process, tooling, and reporting changes while establishing a common knowledge base across all team members.
  • Lead annual and in-year planning processes to ensure Technology investment is aligned to the highest priorities and optimized across spend categories
  • Design, socialize, and implement portfolio insights standards to support leaders in actively managing portfolio risks, and identifying mitigation actions which may be required
  • Build a strong partnership with Tech Finance to collaborate and create deliverables for forecasting, annual and long-range plans.
  • Prepare and review portfolio updates with Unit CIO and Global Commercial Services leaders.
  • Manage GCS Tech Leadership’s Opex including mitigating capacity risks, negotiating trade-offs, and ensuring headcount forecasts and actuals are accurate and aligned to financial targets.
  • Monitor and track multiple portfolios against delivery, cost, budget, forecast, schedule, and quality targets


Education & Qualifications:


  • Experience in leading multiple projects through the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile development methodology
  • Portfolio Operations – Strong knowledge of Tech Portfolio processes (e.g., vendor, capacity, P&L management) and an understanding of risk, controls, and compliance
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Finance, or other related field, MBA preferred
  • Continual Improvement and Innovation – Passion for continual improvement and process design; seeks new ways to improve effectiveness, quality, and compliance
  • Data Analytics and Financial modeling – Prior experience in financial scenario forecasting, data analysis and executive summarization to avert risk and drive actions
  • Stakeholder Management – Confident and clear communication and relationship building skills, with the ability to influence leaders / SMEs, and drive progress and decision making
  • Results Oriented – Track record of driving results across multiple channels and initiatives
  • Leadership – Experience in building, leading, and mentoring diverse and global teams
  • Business Knowledge (preferred) – Well-versed in the processes and tools that drive Technology resource and financial management including, Clarity, Ariba, Business Vendor Management, VIVAR, MyInfo and Ops Excellence
  • Proactive Nature – Ability to work autonomously and proactively to drive results


Salary Range: $145,000.00 to $230,000.00 annually + bonus + equity (if applicable) + benefits
