As the Director, Payments Risk & Compliance, you will manage the development and delivery of various payments-related consulting and compliance services (RTP, FedNow and ACH Compliance Audits and Risk Assessments, Remote Deposit Capture Audits and Risk Assessments, Wire Transfer Audits and Risk Assessments, and more). You must maintain a high level of proficiency with industry rules and regulations, to advise clients and recommend sound compliance and risk management practices. We will expect you to assist in development and ongoing improvement of audit and risk related consulting products and services. You will expected to the professionally and knowledgeably represent and market the company's services to members and clients, as well as deliver select training sessions (in-person, teleseminars, webinars, and customized training) on an as needed basis and handle member calls related to ACH rules interpretation and other payments issues.
You should have:
- Above average knowledge of systems and software used by the industry. This includes but is not limited to email, word processing and spreadsheets; accounting systems and core bank operations software; project management, reporting and database software/systems. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) is preferred.
- One or more of the following audit/compliance related accreditations preferred: Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Financial Services Auditor (CFSA), Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), NAFCU Certified Compliance Officer (NCCO), and Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM).
- Demonstrated ability to understand complex issues, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Bachelor's degree; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- One or more of the following payments related accreditations required: Accredited ACH Professional (AAP), National Check Professional (NCP), and Certified Treasury Professional (CTP).
- Must be passionate about their work, client service focused, and results oriented.
- Self-motivated, flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient
- Experience in financial services and electronic payments industry preferred.
- Ability to build and maintain positive, collaborative internal relationships
- Must be detail-oriented with the ability to define problems, collect relevant data and recommend improvements/corrective actions.
- Ability to effectively organize, manage and track multiple projects simultaneously.
Your duties and responsibilities as the Director, Payments Rick & Compliance wil include:
- Learn, understand, and implement industry audit requirements and the company's risk-based audit methodology
- Analyze client processes, procedures, and data
- Travel to client work sites and professionally interact with client personnel to efficiently and effectively complete engagements
- Identify opportunities to improve our clients' payments and risk management operation
- Contribute articles and serve as a publications contributor for the association's communications vehicles relating to risk management and other topics, as appropriate
- Summarize findings; develop and present formal report of findings to client project team and management
- Adhere to ePayAdvisors' Core Values and Mission
- Contribute to achieving annual budget projections for revenue and expense associated with Risk Management Services
- Contribute to the accomplishment of ePayAdvisors' strategic goals and objectives, as well as individual goals
- Actively participate in the planning and execution of payments-related audits, assessments, and special consulting projects for the company's clients
- Provide assigned reporting within the required timeframes to promote operational efficiency and quality customer service
Other duties will include:
- Acquire new clients
- Conduct select training sessions for Payments Education (In-Person, Teleseminars, Webinars, Webcasts and Customized Training) as needed
- Cross-sell existing clients on additional services
- Act as product manager for Risk Management Services as assigned
