We need to hire a Director of Sales to be responsible for providing management support to all sales locations through respective District Managers to maximize vehicle sales and location profitability. The incumbent will work closely with District Managers and Store Managers to ensure that customers have the best car-buying experience and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction. This position is also responsible for hiring/coaching teams, project management, ensuring compliance standards and policies are adhered to and training oversight. Responsibilities:
  • Perform other duties assigned.
  • Analyzes local competitive market to identify opportunities to assist in developing sales strategies.
  • Oversees District Manager team and ultimately all store operations to ensure dealership profitability.
  • Travels to stores as needed to help with coaching, employee issues, interviews, staff meetings, etc.
  • Monitors district/store daily activity and assists with the dealership’s inventory management as needed.
  • Provides coaching to District Managers to ensure all monthly and annual sales goals are accomplished.
  • Collaborates closely with Underwriting, Inventory and Servicing on a daily basis to ensure an excellent overall customer experience.
  • Cultivates an enthusiastic work environment that will build positive employee attitudes and increase employee morale.
  • Provides guidance to District Managers on complex issues that could involve assisting store managers resolve complex customer complaints or concerns.
  • Works with District Managers to direct the hiring, training, and performance management for all store management and retail staff.
  • Works with other departments/teams to run projects as assigned that will enhance store efficiencies, save on expenses, generate additional sales revenue, or keep the company compliant.
  • Assists in the management of the sales training program by helping develop, build, and implement new or recurring content to enhance the sales experience for employees and customers.
  • Demonstrates a high level of integrity during interactions with customers, employees, vendors, and colleagues.
  • Provides management support to all sales locations through respective District Managers to maximize vehicle sales and location profitability.
  • Assists district/store managers with maintaining excellent customer retention and satisfaction while achieving a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Ensures all retail sales staff receive proper training to maintain 100% compliance.
Qualifications:
  • Computer literacy to include Data Entry, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point & Outlook.
  • Professional attitude and appearance
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy including strong organization and time management skills.
  • Experience researching complex issues, analyzing data, and providing appropriate recommendations based on facts presented.
  • Driver's license
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) with the ability to interact with all employee levels including executive management.
  • At least 5 years of Automotive or Retail Sales management experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance or related field is a plus
