Q CELLS Enable is the EPC arm of Qcells serving the C&I market. Our mission is to provide world-class design and installation of large-scale PV and ESS systems throughout the US. Our position as a leading module manufacturer means we can offer end-to-end solutions for project developers and asset managers. We are expanding our offerings and have several open positions currently in our NYC headquarters.

POSITION OVERVIEW

We seek an experienced Director of Procurement who will oversee the ongoing procurement for all stages, from pre-construction to operations. As an essential operations team member, you will support projects and assets at all stages of development, planning, installation, ongoing operations, and maintenance efforts. In addition to comprehensive solar engineering knowledge, the work will require effective written communication and computing skills and the ability to effectively work with technical and non-technical audiences.

This position reports to the Head of Operations or another management personnel that the Company may designate. This position will be located in NYC midtown office or Bergen County, NJ office with the consideration of the candidates’ accessibility. Ideal candidates will be within commutable distance of these locations, but a flexible or hybrid working option is open.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Track ongoing equipment and spare parts procurement needs for solar PV projects.
• Promote and solicit future vendors.
• Maintain all documentation.
• Build and maintain relationships with major solar equipment vendors, particular module and inverter companies.
• Track historical data, including price, schedule, and experience.
• Coordinate with all stakeholders to ensure equipment model, price, and schedule meets project needs.
• Manage deliveries, and provide updates while communicating with the key contact at the shipping address.
• Negotiate equipment purchase orders and master service agreements within Company Protocol.
• As need be, secure storage facilities for short & long-term storage.
• Manage pre-sales discussions with equipment vendors to ensure we have executed NDA, required support documents, and pricing.
• As need be, secure one or more bids and provide procurement analysis.
• Work closely in a close-knit team environment and with other groups, including development, portfolio operations, and legal departments, as necessary.
• Collect, review, and process for payment of invoices.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software. Like Procore.
• Legally entitled to work in the US
• Undergraduate Degree
• Proficiency with Project planning and Management Software, PVBid, PowerPoint, Excel and other similar software
• Internal communication and a team approach are a must
• Organizational and process orientation skills to maintain documentation, correspondence, and related files
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Solar PV experience, proven reporting of financial, work, and schedule progress
• Ability to review Schedules and Budgets for accuracy and completeness
• Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects and tasks
• Ability to work independently as required
