Position Overview: As a Supply Chain Lead - Procurement, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing our supply chain operations and ensuring the timely and efficient procurement of products. Your contribution will be instrumental in fostering a collaborative team environment, streamlining processes, and enhancing our vendor relationships to meet customer demands effectively.
Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in negotiations with suppliers, manage contracts, and enforce compliance with terms and conditions.
  • Analyze procurement data and utilize tools to make informed decisions, drive cost savings, and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements related to procurement and supply chain operations.
  • Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and industry best practices to proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure consistent availability of products while optimizing costs and maintaining high quality standards.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers to expand product offerings and enhance competitiveness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, operations, and logistics to forecast demand, plan inventory, and ensure accurate order fulfillment.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience (2+ years) in a supply chain or procurement role.
  • Understanding of supply chain principles, procurement strategies, and inventory management.
  • Knowledge based understanding of market trends, industry dynamics, and regulatory requirements impacting procurement operations.
  • Results-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a track record of building and maintaining strong supplier relationships.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Experience or skillset to successfully provide team leadership, fostering a collaborative environment, and developing team members' skills.
  • Proficiency in utilizing procurement software, inventory management tools, and data analysis for strategic decision-making.
Work Environment And Physical Demands
  • Occasional travel to other branch locations and suppliers
  • Sitting 80% of time and standing/movement 20% of the time
