Senior Director, Indirect Procurement

One of my leading consumer goods clients is looking for a senior leader that will source indirect materials including marketing, IT, facilities, services, and energy. This person will oversee ERP implementations, planning, negotiations, and project execution. You will have high visibility and exposure within the organization ensuring that KPIs are met, and the function is performing above and beyond. This role will be heavily involved with vendors, customers, stakeholders in a domestic and international capacity. Must have a high level of communication and be comfortable presenting to all levels of the organization and the ideal candidate will have experience with different areas of procurement. Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage the processes related to Indirect Procurement Plans for the appropriate re-supply of material based of master schedule
• Ability to visualize and implement a category spend model for managing Indirect Procurement
• Conduct cost analyses and setting benchmarks for improvement
• Lead rigorous and objective contract negotiations with key internal stakeholders, legal department, and support groups
• Maximize the value they receive from suppliers to meet their objectives.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous management experience is aplus
• Bachelor’s degree required; Masters/MBA preferred
• 10+ years of procurement and sourcing experience within indirect procurement
• CPIS and APICS certifications preferred
• Knowledge of strategic sourcing strategies and best practices
• Experience implementing ERP systems
