- Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by staying abreast of new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions. Manages all compliance reporting requirements.
- Implements new and enhances existing staff recognition and reward programs.
- Partner with the company leaders to define, develop, lead, and roll out scalable HR solutions (systems, process, and practices) that support Absco’s growth and business goals.
- Lead and develop practices around talent planning, succession planning, career development, leadership development, organizational effectiveness, performance management and onboarding/offboarding.
- Acts as an advisor/coach providing HR expertise and guidance when appropriate on HR related matters. Coaches, counsels, and advises staff across all levels on employee relations and hiring/termination.
- Build/enable a progressive talent acquisition strategy to attract talent to drive the Company’s growth plan.
- Active participant in senior leadership team, attending meetings, presenting, and communicating on behalf of HR.
- Leverages analytics and digital solutions to drive strategies for engagement, retention, culture change, and other relevant factors impacting employee engagement.
- Prepares and analyzes HR metrics and provides reports that support decision making in specified areas.
- Develops and implements comprehensive compensation, benefits plans, and total reward programs that are competitive and cost-effective. Manages benefit renewals and open enrollment.
- Cultivate a proactive and positive culture that translates to high levels of engagement, enablement, and retention through our people programs.
- Proficiency with Office 365 Suite, Applicant tracking systems (JazzHR preferred) and social media.
- Culture leader with strong business acumen and ability to move seamlessly from strategy to implementation roll out.
- Leads performance management process iterations and maintenance of job description library.
- Effective communication, coaching and facilitation skills and the ability to build trusted relationships and influence at all levels of the organization.
- Must operate with the highest level of integrity and confidentiality and with excellent judgement.
- Experience building and scaling HR programs, processes, and frameworks within a dynamic environment.
- Eight or more years of progressive HR experience; including 5+ years in a management/leadership capacity.
- Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations; Federal Labors Standards Act (FLSA), leaves of absence, EEOC and Affirmative Action plans; experience working with government contracts preferred.
- Ability to travel 1-2 times per quarter to Absco Solutions locations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or related field, or a combination of relevant experience, education, and training.
- Experience spanning multiple HR disciplines including direct, hands-on experience in employee relations, employee engagement, organizational design and development, performance management and compensation benchmarking.
