Job Description
WHAT IS KIDSTRONG?
KidStrong is a fast-growing child development program with centers located across the US, as well as an online platform. Our milestone-accelerator program for kids walking through 11 years old. OPEN ROLE:
KidStrong is looking for a full-time Director of Media to join its Marketing team based in Frisco, TX. Our ideal candidate is a highly proactive, hands-on, strategic leader who can develop and implement successful ad campaigns across multiple channels. The Director of Media will lead the organization’s paid marketing strategy and be responsible for an annual ad spend in excess of $4M. Successful campaigns will increase brand awareness and drive customer acquisition. The Director of Media must be an analytical thinker with a keen eye for data insights and reporting visualization.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Draw insights from online and offline campaign results and provide written and visual results to all stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive B2C marketing strategy for growth in existing and new markets, leveraging digital and traditional marketing channels.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
  • Optimize advertising strategies for varying audiences and channels for lowest acquisition costs.
  • Monitor market trends, research consumer markets, and competitors’ activities to identify opportunities and critical issues.
  • Participate in weekly team meetings and meetings with internal and external stakeholders about projects, as assigned.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Ensure the integrity of the brand in all respects, across the KidStrong network.
  • Manage and develop a team of multimedia channel experts to support implementation of the marketing strategy.
  • Work closely with the Director of Brand Marketing to ensure messaging and tactics incorporate current brand guidelines.
  • Develop the marketing channel strategy and oversee its day-to-day implementation including developing recommendations, execution details and budgets.
  • Define integrated marketing communication strategies including digital and traditional marketing channels, and come up with Marketing OKRs and action plans.
  • Define holistic integrated marketing communication strategies including partner marketing, brand partnerships, and media influencers to promote our brand.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to manage and combine data
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Must have the ability to prioritize and multi-task within a fast-paced environment.  
  • BS in Marketing, Business Administration or similar field; and/or MA in Media, Public relations, Communication or similar relevant field
  • Excellent communication, presentation and leadership skills
  • Must be willing to initiate tasks and perform duties without direction. 
  • Knowledge of different types of media channels, both digital and traditional
  • Demonstrable experience with building effective advertising campaigns
  • Attention to details
  • Working knowledge of analytics tools (e.g. Data Studio, Big Query)
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills
  • Must be able to work both at home, and in our HQ office (approx. 60/40 split).
  • Familiarity with digital marketing
  • Experience with budget planning and KPIs
  • Data savviness with a clear comprehension of modern marketing operations and advertising.
  • 8+ years of experience as a Media Director, Media Planner or similar role in a combination of at least two of the following: a medium or large-size company, a franchise organization, an advertising or digital marketing agency, and/or a company that primarily serves consumers (B2C).
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • This position is responsible for leading a team of direct reports including scope and responsibility management, including, but not limited to, 1:1 coaching, motivation, corrective actions, and employee relations communication and actions.
  • Management, mentoring, communication, and interpersonal skills are very important.
SPHERE OF INTERACTION:
  • The Director of Media reports to the Head of Marketing and has three direct reports.
  • A high level of collaboration and professionalism is required.
  • This position will work closely with the entire KidStrong, Inc. organization as well as working with KidStrong, Inc. Area Developers.
