About the Position

We are expanding our Technology thought leadership and seeking a Director of Information Technology to spearhead innovation, evolution, and execution alongside the CIO and the talented IT team here at BNN. As a Technology department focused on enabling the Firm to accomplish their goals, this role is positioned to influence the future direction and enhanced delivery of Technology to the firm. Using forward-thinking approaches, you'll establish continuous improvement practices by delivering high performing systems, driving automation, enhancing business processes, creating custom applications, and establishing process improvement strategies.

Competencies and Position Requirements

  • Operates areas of responsibility within approved budgets and staffing levels
  • Ensures that projects meet clients’ and users’ business needs and expectations of quality
  • Coordinates and drives the business relationship with key internal partners and significant external partners
  • Develops IT roadmap and budget plans that support both the long-term and the short-term objectives of the company
  • All other duties as assigned
  • Maintain disciplined approach to system stability based in ITIL Fundamentals of Data Center Operations including Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, Change Management and Performance Management
  • Maintains project controls that accurately reflect completed work against project plans, schedules, and budgets, and ensures user/management involvement at appropriate milestones
  • Provides input to the strategic direction of IT; directly influencing the business direction in new and existing products and systems as well as upcoming integration efforts with new acquisitions
  • Prepares executive management reports on regular basis
  • Participates in the development of the strategic information technology plan, processes, and solutions
  • Oversee all aspects of DevOps including development, QA, automation, and culture. Serve as a liaison between DevOps teams, senior leadership team, and vendors.
  • Evaluates external advancements in the IT industry to improve customer/user satisfaction, reduce operating expenses, and maximize revenues
  • Leads the Systems Administration team; strategically designs, acquires, manages, and implements an enterprise-wide technology strategy centered on Azure/M365 and ITIL principles
  • Responsible for professional development of the IT organization
  • Work closely with CIO and Technology Steering Committees to prioritize firm projects
  • Leads Cybersecurity practice to maintain and enhance a strong security posture to ensure Cybersecurity is followed and enhanced as needed
  • Provides oversight and leadership for project management of strategic activities by managing resources, timelines, and priorities amongst the team
  • Directs the development and reporting of performance metrics and direct actions to continuously improve managing the business of IT
  • Maintains direct communication with senior and middle management

Education and Experience

  • Ability to operate under pressure in a fast-paced environment under time-pressures and deadlines
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • 7-10 years of experience managing IT resources, security, projects, budgets, and roadmaps with increasing responsibility
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously with little or no direction
  • Demonstrated strong business background
  • Self-motivated with the ability to think strategically and act tactically
