Job Description

In partnership with a Manufacturing company we have been engaged in a search to identify a Director of Information Technology. This talented individual will drive the IT Division in evaluating the current landscape and build a vision for the future. They will possess hands on technical experience, be an individual contributor to begin, develop and working for “startup” like environments.


Title: Director of Information Technology

Term: Director Hire

Location: Torrance, CA

Logistics: On-Site


Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Spearheads IT audits - Leads development and implementation processes for the organizations IT systems and department
  • Manages and adheres to tier 1 customer’s IT compliance requirements
  • Coordinates multisite IT systems via enterprise resource planning (ERP)
  • Establishes efficiency and efficacy standards, providing recommendations for improvement of IT infrastructure.
  • Develops and implements business continuity protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in the event of emergency situations or data loss
  • Develops and maintains relationships with external IT vendors and service providers.
  • Analyzes IT infrastructure and systems performance to assess operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade requirements, and other metrics and needs.
  • Oversees security of systems, networks, and enterprise information.


Requirements:

  • Worked with a small team to accomplish scalability
  • Preferred: - Masters/6-year degree in IT or Computer Science
  • Led a company through scalability stage
  • Experience is building a global secure network
  • 8+ years of IT experience, experience working in smaller environment and experience building an IT division
  • Worked through tier 1 customer audits
  • Bachelor/4-year degree in IT or Computer Science
