Director Of Information Technology

General Language is seeking a Director of Information Technology, who will be responsible for overseeing network operations and project management. This role involves managing the IT department, collaborating with other departments to determine their technological needs, and devising solutions that align with the organization's goals.

This is a remote position. We welcome candidates from any location.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage and supervise employees in the IT department.
• Identify vulnerabilities, the need for upgrades, and opportunities for improvement.
• Devise and establish IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by upper management.
• Liaise with other departments to determine and address their IT needs and requirements.
• Ensure that the current projects and technology systems are maintained.
• Build and maintain relationships with external advisors and vendors.
• Create financial budgets and performance reports, suggest strategic solutions, and advise on new systems and software.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate IT projects in line with organisational objectives.
• Oversee all technology operations and evaluate them according to established goals.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Proven experience as IT director or similar role.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or relevant field. Preferably with continued education, such as software certifications.
• At least 3 years of management experience in an IT environment.
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Sound working knowledge of IT operations, systems, and developments.
• Strong leadership and project management skills.
• Experience in analysis, implementation and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications.
